Public Hearings on the Village of Greenfield

Natural Gas Aggregation Program

 Plan of Operation and Governance

Greenfield Village Council will hold two public hearings on the Village of Greenfield's Natural Gas Aggregation Program’s Plan of Operation and Governance.  The hearings will be held at 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on June 5, 2023.  All meetings will be in the Village Council Chambers at 300 W. Jefferson Street.

On May 2, 2023, Greenfield voters passed a ballot question which authorizes the Village to form a governmental natural gas aggregate on behalf of Greenfield residents.  The Village of Greenfield shall adopt its Plan of Operation pursuant to Section 4929.26(C) of the Revised Code and develop an opt-out aggregation program following the procedure set forth in Ohio Revised Code Section 4929.26.

The Plan of Operation will describe services provided, professional assistance used, and determination of rates, opt-out procedures, customer-billing procedures, credit procedures and joining/leaving the aggregation procedures.  The program is expected to begin on or before October 2023.  All customers eligible who receive natural gas supply service from CenterPoint Energy Ohio will be included in the Village's aggregate unless they opt-out and will receive a mailing notifying them of their right to opt-out.
